Harvest King presents Future Chef Showdown
Sudbury, ON-On Thursday, June 18th 5pm at the Caruso Club, Upper Hall there will be a brand-new event titled Harvest King presents Future Chef Showdown. The premise is 8 finalists, chosen from a variety of Starter/Appetizer entries, will compete in this live cook-off event for judges and guests. We are currently seeking more submission forms for judges to vet where ages 8-25 can enter until mid April. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC) with the cost being $60 for the general public and youth 12 and under $25. The ticket price includes the live cook off event, 3 course dinner where the first course is a sample of all 8 finalists’ entries, entertainment and auctions.
Denis Goupil owner/operator of Harvest King Food Services states, “I am pleased to share my passion for food and my love for local by supplying all the products needed for the Future Chefs to create their culinary masterpieces. They will compete on June 18th for a chance to win a $500 gift basket from Gourmet World or a $500 gift basket from Kitchen Bits, we also have a trophy donated by Laurentian Trophies for the winner(s). The judges will choose a winner as well as the guests. A big thank you to the judges who have agreed to assist us with the event including Pete Danakas, Jean Huneault, Mark Gregorini, Marika Urso, Jeff Cook, Cindy Dalcourt, Sue Peters and Bev Wills. Definitely, exciting to unite local restaurateurs and chefs with up and coming chefs for a great cause.”
