An organization is only as strong as its supporters. Whether through giving your time, lending your skills, helping with events, or supporting community efforts, every contribution helps NOFCC support families through one of the most difficult times in their lives.
NOFCC welcomes caring, energetic, and organized people who want to help families facing childhood cancer across Northern Ontario.
Ways to help
Volunteer support can look different for every person, group, or organization. Some people help at events, some lend professional skills, and others support committees, campaigns, or community activities.
Event and fundraising support
Help with NOFCC events, community fundraisers, campaigns, and activities held in support of families.
Committee or project support
Support fundraising, marketing, outreach, administration, or specific initiatives that help NOFCC continue its work.
Student, group, or workplace volunteering
Students, community groups, service clubs, local businesses, and staff teams can all find meaningful ways to help.
A few hours a month
Even a small amount of time can make a difference when it helps strengthen support for families across Northern Ontario.

Board service
NOFCC invites interested candidates to apply to join its volunteer Board of Directors. Board members help champion NOFCC’s mission to provide hope, support, education, and advocacy to families who have a child diagnosed with cancer in Northern Ontario.
NOFCC is especially interested in hearing from people with experience in finance, education, fundraising, special event management, public relations, communications, administration, community connections, non-profit work, or board service.
- Attend the AGM and regular board meetings.
- Participate in committees and stay informed about committee work.
- Support NOFCC activities and events whenever possible.
- Help identify community connections, opportunities, and potential nominees.
- Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the organization.
